Speech concerns can arise at any stage of a child’s development as a result of congenital defects, developmental disorders or injuries. Vital’s Speech-Language Therapists specialize in Speech Therapy for children ages birth – 18 years old. Our therapists help children reach important milestones set by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association:

  • Smiling when spoken to
  • Talking about events
  • Paying attention and responding to questions
  • Speaking clearly
  • Telling detailed, ordered stories
  • Listening to simple stories
  • Identifying pictures by name
  • Understanding of basic commonly used words
  • Naming objects
  • Speech is understood by most people
Individual and group speech therapy sessions are available in the most comfortable setting for the patient in–home or Vital’s pediatric outpatient facility. Vital also offer speech and language screenings which help to determine if further speech or language assessments are needed. NOTE: Screenings do not take the place of a full assessment.
